A century of RAF aircraft

On April 1st 1918, the Royal Air Force was formed. To commemorate the centenary of the world's oldest independent air force, many events were held throughout the UK in 2018. In this gallery we celebrate the first 100 years of the Royal Air Force with a selection of aircraft images of the types used by the RAF over those 100 years.
